I haven't talked about this yet, but for over a year now, my family has been feeding this stray cat and her babies. At first, it was just her (we named her mamas) but then we found out she was pregnent and we started to care for her babies as well. My siblings fed them while I was away at college, but when I met her.. god I fell in love with her. She is so beautiful and sweet. How could I not fall in love with her? Naturally, I also fell in love with her babies: Choco, Flan, and Penguino.

While I have been home for break, I have been taking care of the cat family. Since the heat is unbearable where I live, we decided to take the cats in during the day and taking them outside during nighttime when it's cooler. Unfortunately, one morning after I had left them out for the night, one of the babies went missing, my sweet girl Flan. We looked all around the neighborhood, and she just never showed up again. While it was careless on our part, they had orginally been stray cats and they had never left the backyard before. I deeply regret not letting the cats sleep in.

Moving forward, we bought a litter box and a cat tree so they can remain inside all day and night. Every day is such an adventure with them. They are so silly and each have such unique personalities.

While we weren't planning on keeping them, we just bonded so much that my sister decided we should keep them. We have taken Mamas and Penguino to the vet and each were spayed/nutered. All is left is Choco! We are also plan on vaccinating them soon!!

Sadly, I'll have to see goodbye to them soon since I leave for the Fall semester. I know I'll miss them so much, but I know I'll get to see them in December again! Overall, this experience has made me research cats like crazy and we try our best to take care of them. I just know I signed up for my worst heartbreak.
