My name is Luna and I'm the webmaster of this silly site! I'm a college student pursuing my bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. I love talking about coding projects! Recently, I've really focused on computer graphics.
When I'm not coding, I'm engaged in fandom culture! I love discussing my favorite media. Whether it's about the story, the characters, or the artwork, I am there.
I have three cats: Mamas, Pingüino, and Choco (short for Chocoflan). They're technically my sister's cats since she financially supports them (food, litter, etc.) but I like to think I'm their doting aunt.
why indie web?
I have been online for a long time. When my father got a family computer, I was always playing flash games such as Bomb It 3 and Papa's Freezeria. Eventually, I discovered games with in game chats such as Poptropica and Fantage. It was the first time I was able to connect with others around the world. I was utterly amazed of the computer in front of me. Granted, I didn't talk much in public forums because I was shy. I was probably better off for it.
As I grew older, social media became a big part of my life. Although I was able to discover very cool communities and people on social media, as time went on, those same communities became infested with bots and other generic content. It was all about pushing content to get views, likes, etc. Honestly, I just got tired and pretty addicted to it all. One day while I was exploring YouTube, I found out about the indie web! This was exactly what I needed. I can still be online and find communities, but without the constant need to be scrolling. I can take a step back and create something more personal.
